Some pets are so matted that there is No other choice but to shave
them! The skin may get irritated from the shaving and tugging of
the clippers it will become very itchy. When you pet gets home they
may rub on the carpet and cause their skin to be red and could
cause hot spots. A coat like this has been bathed or gotten wet
many times. The coat has to be brushed out and combed completely
before the dog is bathed. When you bath a dog with mats and
tangles they do not come out after the bath. You must brush your
dog prior to the bath. If you brush the dog after the bath without
brushing before hand you could then brush burn your pet which is
brushing in the same place too long to get the mat out. Some pets
will fight the groomer when being brushed out.If the pet is wiggly
or fights they could get nicked or cut. We do the best we can to
assure that don't happen.
